Join the Bytown Museum for their Veterans Week, where they will be asking visitors to express how they remember our Veterans by writing them a postcard and help the Museum contribute to their Commemoration Wreath.
Keeping and digitizing family photographs can be a monumental challenge. From long term care to digitization, this talk will focus on storage solutions, digitization techniques and maintaining digital files. Presented by Kyla Ubbink, UBBINK Book and Paper Conservation.
Brian Tackaberry, author of "Forgotten Heroes: Mississippi Mills Valour Award Recipients of the Great War", and Peter Usher, author of "Joey Jacobson's War: a Jewish Canadian Airman in the Second World War" will discuss their works and tell stories of Canadian soldiers' experiences in the two World Wars.
The workshop will introduce participants to the methods and practices archivists use to arrange, describe, preserve and create finding aids for collections of varying sizes.
