Join Heritage Ottawa on their Third Annual field trip!
The first stop is beautiful Vankleek Hill, where you will visit the Vankleek Hill Museum which operates out of an 1834 building that interprets local history through the prism of a general store. You will also take a Gingerbread Walking Tour to experience some of the many historic homes adorned with the distinctive architectural millwork that gave rise to the town’s renown as Ontario’s Gingerbread Capital.
Then enjoy a tasty sit-down lunch at Herb’s Travel Plaza Restaurant, located at 417 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill.
After lunch, travel to Pointe-Fortune for a guided tour and full English Tea at the Macdonell-Williamson House, built in 1817.
MEET: 8:30 am at Arts Court, 2 Daly Avenue for a 9:00 am departure to Vankleek Hill by bus.
Cost: $35 per person includes round-trip bus transportation and all guided museum visits.
