Speaker Series: With Love to All: A Community Project

July 22, 2021 - 19:00 - 20:00

Goulbourn Museum invites you to join us on Tuesday, June 22 at 7:00 pm for the third installment of our 2021 Speaker Series.
In November 2021 Goulbourn Museum is launching its first solely virtual exhibition. With Love to All will explore the experiences of youth during the Great War through the focal point of the correspondence between Private Sefton Stewart and his family in Richmond, Ontario. Covering a period from 1916 to 1918, the letters provide an intimate look at the everyday conditions for young people serving their country amidst the devastation of the European battlefields and an immense loss of life.
The With Love to All exhibition represents the next step in a true community effort to preserve, document, and share the Sefton Stewart letters and remember the wartime sacrifices of Goulbourn community members. Join Museum Manager and Exhibitions Curator Tracey Donaldson and Collections Officer Sarah Holla in conversation on the evening of June 22 to learn about the invaluable community contributions that have made the With Love to All project possible and the path that led the undertaking of this novel exhibition.
This event will take place over Zoom. Upon registering on Eventbrite, participants will receive an email confirmation. On the day of the event, we will email participants an invitation to access the Zoom meeting. Please register by noon on June 22 in order to receive the Zoom invitation.
The event will start promptly at 7:00 pm and run for one hour. We encourage attendee participation during the Question and Answer period.
