On March 23rd 2022, join Dr. Hamdi Mohamed to discuss the Somali community in Ottawa. Using oral history, archival sources, and poetry, Dr. Hamdi Mohamed will discuss the early experiences of Somali Canadians, how they are constructing new narratives, and making creative spaces to make contributions based on ancestral wisdom and a living legacy of artistic expressions.
