Culture Days with our Members

Culture Days is a nationwide weekend to celebrate arts and culture. Launched in 2010, this public engagement initiative aims to foster support for a diverse arts and culture community that is lived, created and expressed by all Ontarians.

The Bytown Museum
FREE ADMISSION at the BYTOWN MUSEUM on Saturday September 29th and Sunday September 30th FOR Culture Days! Participate in our new board game ”Conquer the Canal” and learn all about the important cultural history behind the construction of the Rideau Canal.

Nepean Museum
Include a visit to your local museum as part of your Culture Days celebrations! Take a journey through Ottawa’s transportation history, including the trials and tribulations of the Great Sunday Streetcar Debate, or explore the cognitive, physical, social and emotional benefits of play-based learning with Play! The Building Blocks of Learning. We’re excited to welcome you to the museum for a day of fun!

Pinhey’s Point
Whether you are a first time or return visitor, Culture Days is the perfect opportunity to explore all that Pinhey’s Point has to offer. Our spectacular views of the Gatineau Hills are not to be missed and a guided tour is a must to learn more about the history and natural heritage of our site. Don’t forget to check out our temporary exhibition, City in Motion, while it’s still on display!

Billings Estate
Explore our shared local history during this fall’s Culture Days celebrations! Enjoy a guided tour of the city’s oldest wood-framed house and experience the stories of Ottawa’s development through the eyes of one of its earliest settler families, the Billings. Learn something new at Billings Estate National Historic Site!
