Yuri’s Night
April 13, 2018 - 19:00 - 23:00
Here at the museum, we’re celebrating Canadian astronaut David Saint-Jacques’ mission aboard the ISS with a variety of exhibitions, events, and public programming throughout the year 2018, which we have deemed Year of Space. Be a part of an international event celebrating humanity’s collective accomplishments in space exploration!
Yuri’s Night commemorates the day Yuri Gagarin became the first human to go to space – back in April 1961. The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is marking the milestone with a 19 years of age and older event, featuring a live music, free appetizers, and a cash bar. Watch a Science Slam – where professional scientists will be given five minutes and a microphone, with a goal to both educate and entertain. Think poetry slam, but for scientists!
