Here at the museum, we’re celebrating Canadian astronaut David Saint-Jacques’ mission aboard the ISS with a variety of exhibitions, events, and public programming throughout the year 2018, which we have deemed Year of Space. Yuri’s Night commemorates the day Yuri Gagarin became the first human to go to space – back in April 1961. The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is marking the milestone with a 19 years of age and older event, featuring a live music, free appetizers, and a cash bar. Watch a Science Slam – where professional scientists will be given five minutes and a microphone, with a goal to both educate and entertain. Think poetry slam, but for scientists!
