The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario welcomes you aboard for the Museum’s annual closing weekend Thanksgiving train rides. This family friendly event will host talented musician Ken Ramsden alongside our family friendly train rides and activities. Hours
The train runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm October 12th, 2019. The train departs every half hour starting at 11:00 am. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please not this is the Museum’s closing weekend.
How long is the ride?
We are thrilled to be offering longer rides! The rides are now approx. 2 km round trip. They leave from the station along the West track and head north to Cornelia St., switch to the East track and travel along the east side of the property and then back again.
Tickets
$10 Adults (+ admin fees of $0.89)
$8 Children Ages 4-12 (+ admin fees of $0.89)
FREE for ages 3 and under.
Please note your train ride ticket includes general admission to the Museum. If you do not have a train ticket, the museum is still open and general admission rates apply:
Adults $7…Seniors/Students $6…Children (4-12) $5
3 and under (FREE)…Family (2 adults & 2 children) $20

Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite and at the Museum before the event daily from 10 am- 5pm. Tickets may be available on site the day of the event, first come, first serve.
Do I have to pre-purchase tickets?
Yes, if you want to be guaranteed a train ride. There are a limited number of tickets available for this event. If you are unable to purchase your tickets online, please call the museum to purchase tickets (613) 283-5696.
I have a child under 4, where I can purchase tickets for them?
Children 3 years old and under do not need a ticket, but please be sure to reserve a ticket for them when purchasing your ticket. Tickets are required for anyone over 4 years old.
What if I miss my scheduled train ride?
We request that you check-in at the front desk at least half an hour before your scheduled ride to pick up your train tickets. If you miss your scheduled ride time, we will do our best to put you on the next available train ride, but we cannot guarantee you a ride.
