Parent & child puppet workshop at museum
August 18, 2018 - 10:00 - 14:00
Parent and child pairs will make a special puppet out of foam. They will assemble and glue pre-cut foam pieces to make a head with an articulated jaw, and a body. They will connect them with a fabric neck sleeve, then add arms and hands. Next, a sculpted foam nose, ears, teeth, horns and other funny features will be added to really make their puppet unique. They can create a person, monster, animal, etc. Their imagination is their only limitation!
11:30am-12:30pm Break for pizza lunch
It will be time to give their puppet even more personality by adding hair, fur and accessories using yarn, felt, feathers and more!
The final step to bringing their puppet to life is painting it with artist-grade acrylic paint. A fabulous new friend to take home and treasure!
Cost: $45 (+HST) per parent & child pair This cost includes all materials.
