An MVTM project spearheaded by Maureen McVey and produced by Robert Newton, this documentary film features stories from the final stages of the textile industry in the Mississippi Valley in the mid-twentieth century, as told by the people who actually lived them.
At the time, it no doubt seemed like just another day on the job, but with the virtual demise of the textile mill industry in Canada brought about by globalization, these stories have taken on major historical significance.
Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, they paint a picture of a different time. This film will enable you to share their reminiscences of a different, and some might say, better time.
