Technology has changed the way we communicate on a day-to-day basis but there is still a simple and aesthetic pleasure to putting ink to paper. Using a brush pen style, Stephanie Ko (from Simply Steph Ko) will guide participants through the fundamentals of calligraphy. This workshop is designed with beginners in mind and will provide you with the basics you will need if you choose to pursue techniques that are more advanced. With your new skills, you will have the ability to add an artistic flair to your correspondence, labels, cards, and more. This workshop is a unique opportunity to tour Fairfields Heritage House with a knowledgeable interpreter. Light refreshments will be served in the gazebo (participants are also encouraged to bring their own water bottle). All required supplies are included in the cost of registration.
