This Commemorative Hockey Game honours  the Coloured Hockey League of the Maritimes (CHLM) will be played by two teams of local hockey players of various ages and abilities.  Hall of Fame inductee Willie O’Ree is one of the Honorary Head Coaches, Ron MacLean, host of Hockey Night in Canada, is the Honorary Head Referee, and Adrian Harewood, local TV personality and CBC host, is the Game Announcer.

Prior to the game, there will be a ceremonial puck drop involving Robert Downey, descendant of former CHLM players as well as George and Darril Fosty, co-authors of the book Black Ice.
