Join The Historical Society of Ottawa and Guest speaker Rick Henderson, the author of Walking in the Footsteps of Philemon Wright, and Capital Chronicles blog, and the great-great-great-great-grandson of Philemon Wright. Henderson paints an intimate portrait of the man and his family —  and of his dreams, struggles and successes as they carved a settlement from the Ottawa Valley wilderness over two centuries ago. His was a saga emblematic of the beginnings of Canada's industrial development.
