Keeping and digitizing family photographs can be a monumental challenge. From long term care to digitization, this talk will focus on storage solutions, digitization techniques and maintaining digital files. Presented by Kyla Ubbink, UBBINK Book and Paper Conservation.
November 10 at the City of Ottawa Archives
The workshop will introduce participants to the methods and practices archivists use to arrange, describe, preserve and create finding aids for collections of varying sizes. This will include basic conservation practices, handling problem material, and guidelines for appraisal and weeding. Participants will have the opportunity to work in groups for hands-on processing.
