Arnprior has changed a lot in 150 years.

And the Arnprior and District Museum has a unique item to mark Canada’s sesquicentennial to show what the town looks like during this monumental year.

Local photographer Frank Dugal has complied 150 photos from Arnprior including homes, churches, businesses, landscapes and more to capture the town in 2017.

The poster itself is a striking mosaic of all that is Arnprior coming together on one canvass.

“It is one of our initiatives for Canada 150,” said Wendy Chennette, children’s program co-ordinator at the Arnprior and District Museum. “We wanted to show what Arnprior looked like for Canada 150.”

The posters are a fundraiser for the museum and cost $10 each and can be purchased at the museum located at 35 Madawaska St.

“It’s a really cool piece of memorabilia of an important year in Canada’s history,” said Chennette.

The museum only had 200 posters printed making it quite the limited edition item.

For Chennette, it really ties everything together about the town.

“It’s everything that makes Arnprior, Arnprior!” said Chennette. “It reminds me of the great community Arnprior is with all of its puzzle pieces.”
